Young Dairy Development Program

           “Developing Dairy Communities”            

The Young Dairy Development Program aims to meet the needs of young dairy farmers aged 18 to 40 years and those who are new to the industry.

We organize events in Gippsland & South West Victoria in which all the local community can be involved.  Join in and meet some new people from a range of different employment sectors within your local community.

There are opportunities to develop your dairy farm knowledge and skills. These may include dinners, discussion groups, farm visits, tours, guest speakers and seminars on specific topics such as sharefarming.   You may like to suggest an idea or a topic.                                                     

All dairy industry sectors are able to provide mentoring and support for young people wanting to build their off-farm knowledge and managerial skills. If this is your interest, we can meet your needs through a wide range of activities such as Dairysage, leadership programs.

This program is driven by the locals, for the locals, to better set you up for your future.

Local people and the Regional Coordinators are currently organizing a range of activities to meet your needs.   Use this website to find out what is happening in your local area and become part of this exciting program.
